Description:

Monitor the availability of a Postgres database.

Supported Monitoring Stations:7.8, 7.7, 7.6, 7.5, 7.4, 7.3, 7.2, 7.1, 7.0, 6.0
Supported Agents:None; no agent required
Installation Notes:

For windows:

  1. Download the zip file and extract the files in to a temporary folder.
  2. Move the xml file to uptime_install_dir\xml directory.
  3. Move the monitor-postgres-basic folder in monitor-postgres-basic\files-win\plugins\scripts to uptime_install_dir\plugins\scripts.
  4. Move the files in monitor-postgres-basic\files\plugins\scripts\monitor-postgres-basic to uptime_install_dir\plugins\scripts\monitor-postgres-basic.
  5. Open up command prompt and cd to uptime_install_dir\scripts directory and run the following command: erdcloader.exe -x “full path to the plugin xml file”
  6. Add and configure a service monitor based on the Postgres Basic Plugin installation and test.

For linux:

  1. Download the zip file and extract the files in to a temporary folder.
  2. Move the xml file to uptime_install_dir\xml directory.
  3. Move the monitor-postgres-basic folder in monitor-postgres-basic\files-posix\plugins\scripts to uptime_install_dir\plugins\scripts.
  4. Move the files in monitor-postgres-basic\files\plugins\scripts\monitor-postgres-basic to uptime_install_dir\plugins\scripts\monitor-postgres-basic.
  5. Open up command prompt and cd to uptime_install_dir\scripts directory and run the following command: ./erdcloader -x “full path to the plugin xml file”
  6. Add and configure a service monitor based on the Postgres Basic Plugin installation and test.
